My nails are short most of the time too. They're really thin and rip really easily, expecially on the corners. They also have little bits of overgrowth at the tips that peels, which doesn't help the ripping.

I've been using Sally Hansen Hard as Wraps acrylic hardener to stop the ripping in the hopes that they'll grow.

i have never really tried to grow my nails very long before, i prefer them rather short...it sucks that your nails are thin and rip easy...have you tried any of the nail creams you can get?? maybe those could help

Yes, and I always get paint and nail polish remover on them when I'm doing other ppls nails, so I just figure that its pointless since I don't paint mine anyways lol
